The tail end of the road trip consisted of several cities. Barcelona and Valencia were impressive and the further west we drove the greater the spectacle. Spain is like an old painting that has undergone several renovations; aged but maintaining its beauty. The Spanish doors and belltowers were some of the most aesthetically pleasing building structures I have ever seen. As you look through these photos, think about the overlap in civilizations, cultures and art. The Arabian influence can be seen throughout Spanish architecture and art. Gaudi himself often brought Arabian styles into the rich homes of his clients. Enjoy, and be safe!
