Staying positive

Positivity is red.  It’s alive. It’s fresh.

People often encourage others to “stay positive,” but it is sometimes easier said than done.  It never hurts to remind ourselves of the importance to keep fighting.  Attitude and positive energy help us continue to move forward from any challenging situation.  Take for instance an injury that sidelines an athlete.  Two avenues are available.  One of defeat and disdain, and another of hope and determination.  The more time passes, the more I feel that envisioning the future has a powerful effect on the outcome.

Staying true to the health and fitness theme, positivity often has an immense impact on the future.  The brain often visualizes concepts in the same way it analyzes information.  Once it commits, the results tend to be better than non-committing.  So here’s to positivity.  It takes work, it takes time, but Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Poem time:

The first bite of breakfast

Fresh water from the fridge

Pouring the hot cup of tea

Wiping away the foggy mirror

Music vibrates through the room

White teeth chatter in the cold

Tapping feet to the beat

It’s morning.

The beginning.

You’re breathing.

Ciao for now,
